In 1954 we did get two weeks leave, Mal,
Ginger and myself went to "Famagusta Cyprus" and what a difference that
was, we had not seen anything like it. We went by plane from Fayed to
Nicosia, as I have said before I was not a good sailor I was not any
better at flying, was I glad to get off that plane and we still had to
fly back oh well !! but we did have a great time. We did manage to
send one or two presents home and the pictures below are two that I did
send to my parents
